Honda Motorcycle Scooter India (HMSI) will have the largest exhibition area among all motorcycle booths, and will exhibit a variety of motorcycle products including all-new scooter. HMSI which has displaced TVS and Bajaj to reach the second position is working hard to overtake Hero MotoCorp and become the number player in the Indian market.
There has been a lot of news of Honda introducing new scooter with a 125cc motor. If launched the new 125cc scooter will be a first from Honda and could be priced slightly above the Activa 110. TVS recently launched the Jupiter 125 and marked its entry into the larger 125cc scooter segment. The other models in this segment are: Mahindra Duro, Rodeo & Flyte, Suzuki Access & Swish, Vespa LX & VX.
Honda’s new 125cc scooter will use the revolutionary HET to offer a good balance of power & fuel efficiency. Honda is already number in the scooter segment with Activa which is the highest selling scooter in India. The company also launched the Activa i with fibre body which is priced lower than the regular model.
