Ford India has officially announced the launch of its 2014 Ford Classic sedan at an very attractive price starting at Rs. 4.99 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. The new positioning aims to provide an enhanced value proposition to discerning customers and also a true driver’s car at a very affordable price.
The Classic is not a compact sedan like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire or Honda Amaze but has been priced head on. The entire Classic range will be available between Rs. 4.99 lakh and Rs. 7.59 lakhs. The Classic is available in the following variants: LXi, CLXi & Titanium and is powered by proven 1.6 litre Duratec petrol and 1.4 litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engines.
Ford Classic offers a host of features such as fist-in class programmable keyless entry, Bluetooth audio with speed sensing volume control, front fog lamps, rear defogger, turn indicators on ORVMs, drive away locks, ABS, EBD and driver & front passenger airbags among others.
The move will help to attract a few EcoSport customers who are annoyed of the long waiting periods. Ford will do a major announcement on the 3rd of February and we could expect the new Figo (Ford Ka) siblings: Hatch & Sedan to be unveiled for the Indian market.
