Figo & Figo Aspire to get touchscreen infotainment

Ford to equip Figo & Figo Aspire sedan with new touchscreen infotainment system.

Ford is working on a new touchscreen infotainment system specifically for the Indian market and plans to introduce this new system on Figo and Figo Aspire.

The growing demand and premium image associated with touch screen has prompted auto makers to introduce touch screen infotainment system in the new generation cars.

The American car maker has started work on the new infotainment system and will introduce in the all their future models.

The new touchscreen infotainment will be introduced in the facelifted Figo twins mostly likely in 2017 and will get a slightly new design dashboard to accommodate the touchscreen in the centre console.

The new touchscreen system will replace the current infotainment system available on the top spec models like Titanium and Titanium+.

Touchscreen infotainment system demand is growing

Tata Motors was the first to offer a company fitted touch screen on the Zest and Bolt. Renault too offered a 7’’ touch on the Kwid while Hyundai has also equipped their key models with touch screen infotainment.

New Ford Figo & Figo Aspire has not been able to sell in large numbers and the company is working in various marketing activities to push sales. New features and better value proposition could help the American car maker to increase their market share.
