Chevrolet has announced the launch of the face lifted Beat at the 2014 Auto Expo. The sporty looking hatchback will get cosmetic updates on the outside and inside. Thanks to Overdrive for posting images of the Beat facelift undergoing testing on outskirts of Pune. The test mules spotted were left-hand drive and the front & rear were masked with tapes.
The Beat facelift was unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show debut and the changes include an updated front & rear bumper, revised grille and restyled foglamps, new wheels and tweaked headlamps. On the inside the car gets a new centre console with added storage volume and rear hardest for the middle passenger.
The Beat is available in Petrol, LPG and diesel fuel options. There are no mechanical changes expected and the car will be equipped with the same engine options. The Beat diesel is powered by 1.0 XSDE SMARTECH which develops 58.5PS of power and 150Nm of torque delivering 25.44* kmpl. 1.2 petrol engine delivers 18.6 kmpl.
The Beat will have battle the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio which is also going to be launched at the Auto Expo and the Hyundai Grand i10.
