Mahindra 2 Wheelers to launch new Gusto 125 on 12 January, to compete with Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125

Mahindra 2 Wheelers is going to start the year with a new variant of the Gusto Scooter which was launched in 2015. Mahindra is going to launch the Gusto 125 code name G108 which is essentially a more powerful version of the current Gusto which is available with a 110cc engine.

The Gusto 125 could be powered by 124.6 cc, 4-stroke engine which also does duty on the Rodeo UZO 125 and Duro DZ. The company may also introduce an all-new engine which could be based on the M-TEC Engine platform.

We can expect the power output to be about 12 bhp and torque of 13-14 Nm yet delivering a high fuel efficiency in the range of 50 kmpl plus.

The Gusto is the first scooter in India that comes with a unique features such as Height-Adjustable Seat which allows people of different height to adjust to their requirements, a remote Flip Key with a LED panel that illuminates the keyhole at night, Find-me Lamps, Guide Lamp which stays on for a few seconds after the ignition is turned off, helping you out in dark places. Another thoughtful feature is the innovative pocket-like storage facility just under the display panel which allows keeping mobile and small items.

Dual tone Color options could be offered with colored ORVMs. Mahindra may offer a few more features to make the Gusto 125 more appealing and will come 12 inch tubeless tyres. Optional disc brakes and LED tail lamp could be added.

We can expect aggressive pricing to make the Gusto more competitive. Prices and more details will be announced on 12th of January.
