Renault Kwid launching tomorrow (24th September)

French car maker Renault is all set to launch the Kwid small car in the Indian market tomorrow (24th September).

The Renaut Kwid is the first car to be developed in India and will come with 98% localisation and will be manufactured at the Renault-Nissan Chennai plant.

The Kwid with SUV inspired design comes with many segment first features which include best-in-class ground clearance of 180 mm, boot capacity of 300 litres, 7 inch touchscreen Media Nav system and a digital instrument cluster. The top model is available with an optional Airbag.

The new small car is powered by a new 3 cylinder 800cc SCe – Smart Control Efficiency petrol engine mated to a 5 speed gear box and delivers a high mileage of 25.17 kmpl.

Renault has also introduced several new innovative applications to attract the young buyers such as the Kwid App and Kwid Virtual Showroom. Renault has officially announced bookings for the small car on 15th of September.

The Renaut Kwid will compete with the likes of Alto 800, Alto K10 and Hyundai’s Eon and is expected to be priced between Rs. 3 and 4 lakhs.

The company is offering a Standard warranty of 50,000 kms / 2 Year Maintenance Policy, which is extendable up to 80,000 km/ 4 years. Renault will also offer complementary Road Side Assistance for 2 years.
