Volvo launches S60 Cross Country at INR 38.90 Lacs

Volvo is aggressively wooing the affluent Indian car buyers by launching stunning cars at mouth watering prices. The latest being the striking new S60 Cross Country which the Swedish car maker launched on 11^th March in Mumbai. The newly launched cross country will cater to those customers who aspire for the comfort and opulence of a luxury sedan while craving for boldness and ruggedness to occasionally venture on to dusty paths and flooded roads.

Our latest launch, S60 Cross Country addresses both these in a unique blend of sporty ruggedness. EXTERIOR DESIGN

The Cross Country gets a sporty sedan shape and dynamic design with typical S60 swooping roofline to subtle Cross Country design cues. It looks sporty, unconventional with an adventurous edge to the sedan concept. The honeycomb grille, dual exhaust tail pipes, 18 inch alloys along with increased ride height gives it a reassuringly confident stance. The piano black deco on the sides and wing mirror casing adds to the classy feel of the vehicle.

INTERIOR

The car’s interior is graced with elegant Scandinavian design cues with generous use of rich wood and leather. It gets uncluttered and easy to use controls, piano black deco option, leather gear knob and a frameless inner rear-view mirror. The S60 also features sport seats with option of single or dual-tone leather and contrast stitching.

CHASSIS & POWER TRAINS

The S60 Cross Country has a powerful Volvo All-Wheel Drive (AWD) diesel powertrain delivering 190hpand 420 Nm torque offering a no-compromise blend of efficiency and performance. The suspension front and rear are armed with hydraulic shock absorbers and stabilizer bars. The AWD comes standard with DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control and Advanced Stability Control. The Chassis is raised to offer an SUV like ground clearance of 201mm.

SAFETY FEATURES

A host of active safety features deliver peace of mind to the customers. The unique City Safety which has laser assisted automatic braking now brakes from 50kmph, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Electronic Brake Assistance (EBA), Hill Descent Control which automatically keeps the car at a constant speed while driving downhill, off road, or in deeper water and Hill Start Assist is standard on the S60 Cross Country. Similar to all other Volvos sold in India, the Diesel powertrain also comes with DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) that traps harmful particles like PM2.5 and PM10 by upto 99%.
