Volvo launches the 2017 V40 & V40 Cross Country adorning Thor’s Hammer

Volvo V40 and the V40 Cross Country receive a facelift with famous Thor’s Hammer headlights.

Volvo India introduced the V40 and the V40 Cross Country facelift in the Indian market. the cars now come equipped with famous Thor’s Hammer headlights which are one of the USPs of Volvo cars. Another key feature is the Pedestrian Airbag, an industry first and Volvo’s commitment to 9 decades of class-leading safety which his now standard on the V40 series.

Volvo also inaugurated their new 3S facility in Kochi – Kerala Volvo.

What are the changes?

Volvo V40 & V40 Cross Country now gets the Full-LED Thor’s Hammer headlamp cluster, a new waterfall design grille with the large Ironmark (like the XC90 & S90).

The interiors come with 3 different leather trims for the V40 & 5 leather trims for the V40 Cross Country including dual-tone. A new set of wheel design for both models.

The V40 received 5 star Euro NCAP ratings when it was launched with the best scores ever for any car. The refreshed V40 & V40 Cross Country have the following safety features

Powertrain:

The V40 & the V40 Cross Country comes with sub 2L powerful and efficient diesel engine with 6-Speed automatic FWD. Volvo was the first car brand to introduce DPF as standard across our carlines. DPF reduces particle emission (PM2.5 & PM10) by atleast 95%.
