Volkswagen inaugurates new, state-of-the-art workshop in Kollam

German luxury car maker Volkswagen inaugurated its new, state-of-the-art workshop in Kollam, Kerala further strengthening its after-sales presence in the city.

The new workshop/service station is set up by EVM Passenger Cars India Pvt. Ltd.

The new Volkswagen setup in Kollam is situated at Industrial Estate Road, Umayanalloor and has 8-bays which are fully equipped to handle vehicle servicing and repairs, as well as paint and bodywork repair.

The 7500 sq. ft. workshop employs a well-trained team of 26 members, including expert technicians and support staff, who are together capable of delivering a delightful customer experience.

VW has presence in 11 cities of Kerala namely – Calicut, Cochin, Kannur, Kochi, Kollam, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Perumbavoor, Thiruvalla, Thiruvanathapuram and Thrissur.

Volkswagen has been working on reinforcement of their after-sales which has been a weak link for the premium brand.

Volkswagen introduced the refreshed Vento a couple of weeks back and plans to further enhance its portfolio with more launches in the future.

Volkswagen currently offers the Polo, Polo GT TSI, Polo GTD, Cross Polo, Vento and Jetta in India. VW plans to introduce the new Passat, Beetle, Tiguan SUV and a new sub-4 metre compact sedan based on the Polo.
