Toyota Kirloskar Motor will soon celebrate the Innova Cryta anniversary and plan to launch a new version Innova Crysta Touring Sport in the Indian market.
The Innova Crysta Touring Sport is already on sale in Indonesia as the Innova Venturer mainly comes with cosmetic changes to give the MPV sportier appeal.
The Touring Sport will feature a unique black body cladding on the bumper and wheels arches, lots of chrome on the front grille, ORVMs, bumper inserts and on the side skirts. The alloy wheels get black treatment but the 16inch wheels look small. The company has discontinued the 17inch alloy wheels citing customer complaints about tyre damage and harsher ride.
The interiors will get all black treatment with leather upholstery and will be available as a six seater option only.
The powertrain options remain unchanged and we can expect the model to be limited to diesel engine only and will be based on the ZX trim. Both manual and automatic Transmission will be on offer.
Toyota seems to be very aggressive with the Crysta and is looking to cash in further on the brand. The Innova Crysta though priced high is selling in good numbers with an average of over 6000 units.
Since the launch of the new Gen Innova Crysta, Toyota has managed to sell over 67,500 units since launch.
