Tata Motors to launch Winger 15 seater with 3500mm Wheelbase

Tata Motors Winger 15 seater to compete with Force Traveller for intercity travel.

Tata Motors will soon launch a new variant of the Winger Van with a long wheelbase of 3500mm. The new variant of Winger Van was showcased at the PRAWAAS 2017- India International Bus and Car Travel Show.

The new variant comes with many new features t complete with the likes of Force Motors Traveller 15 seater such as 185mm ground clearance, bigger 15 inch tyres, Air-conditioning with dual condenser for effective cooling both at front and rear, Individual AC vents, and USB ports at the front and rear seats.

On the outside the big changes include new graphics, a 2.2 Dicor badge and the sliding door has been removed, which means the passengers will enter the van from the front door by tilting the front seat forward. The passenger seats are reclining and have decent leg space.

The Winger 15 seater is powered by 2.2 Dicor engine which was available on the Tata Safari DiCOR. The engine is BS1V complaint and develops 100 HP (75kW) of max power at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1250-3000 rpm. The engine is detuned to offer better mileage.

The suspension set-up includes a MacPherson struts with coil spring at front and double Parabolic leaf spring at rear with hydraulic telescopic shock absorber.

Tata Motors will launch the Winger 15 seater next month and will be priced aggressively to compete with Force Motors Traveller 15 seater.

The Winger 15 seater will come with a standard warranty of 3 years 3 lakh kms.
