TAMO RACEMO offers customers an opportunity to OWN, PLAY, RACE and EXPLORE, creating an immersive experience.
Tata Motors TAMO RACEMO made its world premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Designed at the Tata Motors Design Studio in Turin, Italy, RACEMO’s design is race car inspired – ‘fairly Spartan’. The styling is very futuristic and we hope most of it makes it into the production car.
The sports cars gets stronger expressions of the IMPACT DESIGN elements i.e. Humanity Line, Slingshot Line and Diamond DLO, give the RACEMO an instant recognisability.
The TAMO RACEMO sports car is equipped with LED headlamps, LED tail lamps and scissor doors. The interiors are unique with 3 screens making which display information like speed, lap times, track and other important information. The centre console comes with switches and unique switch to engage the reverse gear.
The 2 seater sports car is built on a patented MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich (MMS) structure – a structural technology, enabling greater freedom in surface design, efficient large-scale part integration leading to modularity and faster time to market.
This is being used for the first time ever in the automotive industry for passenger vehicles and it will help to bring in Indian market a product with increased exclusivity.
Under the hood the car comes with a 1.2L Revotron Turbocharged, Intercooled Gasoline Engine which accelerates from 0-100 kmph in under 6 seconds. The engine develops power 190 PS of max power and a maximum torque of 210 Nm.
The sports car will be equipped with connected car features such as advanced navigation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring and over-the-air updates using Microsoft cloud-based technologies including advanced analytics, internet of things (IoT) and machine learning powered by Microsoft Azure. The vehicle owner can access the in-car connectivity experience through three screens in the instrument area.
The TAMO sports car will be officially launched in 2018 and we can certainly expect the vehicle to be showcased at 2018 Auto Expo.
