Skoda India is all set to unveil the much awaited model after the Rapid sedan in Indian market on 9th of August. The Czech car maker will launch the new Octavia to the Indian market, the brand which started it all in India.
The official Facebook page has started teasing the car and seems like an unveiling will happen before the car is actually launched in India. TheLegendIsComingBack says the official fb page and the company is also launching some contest to lure its fans. The new Octavia is a very important model for Skoda India and will play a crucial role in getting the Skoda brand in limelight.
The new Octavia is grown in all sides which include dimensions, technology and luxury. This is also the first product from the VW group to be launched on the MQB platform.
The new Octavia will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engine which include the 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI and 2.0TDI diesel engines coupled to a choice 7 speed DSG, 6 speed automatic and 6 speed manual gear box. The car will be loaded with new technology, safety and luxury features to be precise SIMPY CLEVER features.
Skoda will have to play the pricing card right it wants real volumes. It will majorly compete with the likes of Hyundai Elantra, VW Jetta, Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Cruze and the Renault Fluence. But considering the segment de-growing would new launches like the Octavia help this segment regain traction?
