Renault has announced a price hike of the entry model Kwid hatchback. The Kwid was launched at a starting price of Rs. 2.57 lakhs for the base variant. The price hike is in the range of 1.5% to 3% depending on the variant

The Renault Kwid is powered by a new 799 cc three-cylinder petrol engine which produces max power of 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of max torque at 4,386 rpm.The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and delivers an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l.
The company is planning to introduce new variants with a more powerful 1000cc engine and will also offer an AMT Automatic gear box. The new variants will also get safety features like ABS and airbags.
The Renault comes with many first-in-segment features like: SUV inspired design, 7 inch touch-screen, Media-Nav system, digital Instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator.
