Renault introduced the Kwid hatchback in the Indian market. True to it’s the company has launched the car at an very aggressive price starting at Rs. 2.57 lakhs.

The best-in-class features of the Kwid compared to the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Eon are high Ground clearance of 180 mm, boot capacity of 300 litres, rear knee room – multiple storage spaces, upper sized body dimensions, roomy interior space, service parts maintenance cost, ride & handling characteristics
The Renault Kwid is available in 6 variants and the top variant RxT is priced at Rs. 3.53 lakhs, which is less than Rs. 4 lakhs on-road.

The Renault Kwid is powered by a new 799 cc three-cylinder petrol engine which produces max power of 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of max torque at 4,386 rpm.The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and delivers an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l.
The Kwid, based on the CMF-A platform and is the first car to be made in India on this platform. The car measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width, 1,478 mm in height and 2,422 mm in wheelbase. It has a ground clearance of 180 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 28 liters.
Deliveries of the Kwid will start next month (October)
The company is offering a Standard warranty of 50,000 kms / 2 Year Maintenance Policy, which is extendable up to 80,000 km/ 4 years. Renault will also offer complementary Road Side Assistance for 2 years.
