Renault Duster RxL Plus & Option variants

Renault is betting on the Duster SUV to push sales in the Indian market. The French car maker launched the Duster Adventure Edition at the Auto expo with smoked headlamps, exteriors with body cladding and black and grey theme interiors.

Renault is looking to push sales of the Duster with 85PS by introducing two new variants RxL Plus and RxL option pack. The new variants based on the 85Ps engine option are on sale are come with a few more additional equipment.

The RxL Plus comes with twin airbags and ABS+EBD as standard equipment which was optional on the RxL and features like driver seat belt, reverse parking sensors and alloy wheels are available as optional.

The Duster RxL Option Pack is equipped with all the features which are offered as optional on the RxL Plus such as reverse parking sensors, alloy wheels and driver seat belt reminder in addition to Multimedia and Navigation System (MediaNaV) which combines navigation & entertainment. The MediaNav assists to find your directions, choose your favorite music, receive & even make calls.

The Duster RxL Plus is priced at Rs. 9.9 lakhs and RxL option pack at Rs. 10.6 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. The Duster is now available in 11 variants and 3 engine options. The 1.5 dCi K9K 85Ps develops 200Nm of Torque while the 110Ps produces 248 Nm. The 1.6 K4M petrol engine produces max power of 104 PS and torque of 145Nm.

The 10 Lakhs SUV segment is witnessing more competition with players like Mahindra, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki looking to add more products in this segment. Maruti showcased the India bound SX4 Cross at the 2014 Auto Expo and will most likely hit the Indian roads in 2015.

Renault is also readying a facelift for the Duster and a 4×4 variant with launch expected by end of this year.
