Tata Kite 5 (Sway) is one of the best looking compact sedan.
Tata Motors has tasted decent success with the launch of the new Tiago and up next is the Kite 5 compact sedan. The production version of the compact sedan has been snapped at the plant and looks like the car is launch ready.
Unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo Kite 5 is the third compact sedan since launch of Indigo e-CS and Zest. Tata Motors gave birth to the compact sedan segment and with the Kite 5 looks like the company could be back to its glory days.
The car measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,450 mm in wheelbase.

The car spied seems to be the top end variant. The car features chrome garnish on the boot, high-mounted LED stop lamp with roof spoiler like cut-outs similar to the Tiago, colored dor handles, alloy wheels and chrome strip on the window. On the front the car looks exactly similar to the Tiago hatch.
The black dashboard gets a touchscreen infotainment system not available on the Tiago, automatic climate control (looks like borrowed from Zest),Piano black centre console, audio controls on the three spoke steering wheel.
The Kite 5 will offer class-leading boot capacity of 420 liters making it one of the largest in the compact sedan segment.

The car will be powered by a 1.2L three cylinder Revotron engine with 83 bhp/114 Nm of torque and 1.05L Revotorq diesel engine producing 69 bhp/140Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5 speed manual and an 5 speed AMT with Sports mode could be on offer.
The Kite 5 compact sedan will be launched in the coming months and will be priced very aggressively like the Tiago hatch.
There is no direct competition as of now but the Beat Essentia will join next year.
