Piaggio opens fourth Motoplex store in Kochi, Kerala
Piaggio Group moving forward with its Motoplex expansion strategy in India achieves another milestone by launching its fourth Motoplex in Kochi City. This move will definitely help Piaggio to strengthen its footprint in the South.
Starting with the first launch in Pune in November 2015, followed by openings in Hyderabad and Chennai consecutively in 2016.

Kochi Motoplex is set up by Jey Motors and inaugurated by Mr. Stefano Pelle, Managing Director and CEO,Piaggio India, , the store is set in a sprawling area of 4,950 sq. ft. at Bypass Road, Padivattom, Kochi.
Speaking at the inaugural event Mr. Stefano Pelle, Managing Director and CEO of the Piaggio Vehicles Private Ltd. (PVPL) said, “We are delighted to launch our concept store in Kochi. This is our fourth store in the country and third in South India. The Motoplex concept reflects the innovative vision of the Piaggio Group by offering consumers a unique experience of Italian biking under one roof. The store also aims to provide an overview of the two wheeler world, apart from showcasing the long standing history of our brands – Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi. It highlights the fascinating journey of the brands that proudly stand for Made in Italy”.
He went on to add, “The Motoplex store aims to achieve the same success it has had internationally with the display of various brands from the Piaggio’s stable. South India has been a strategic two wheeler market and so we are expanding our footprint in this region.”
Mr Athul J – CEO, also shared his view, he said, “We are ecstatic to bring the flagship concept store of Piaggio Group – Motoplex to Kochi and provide our consumers with a fresh retail experience. We are proud to represent Piaggio’s premium brands in Kochi.”
In line with the innovative in-store experience, the Piaggio Group is developing this concept in major metropolitan areas around the world. The Kochi Motoplex is a place for patrons to discover the essence of the Piaggio Group and its lineage with brands like Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi on display.
It is a platform for bike enthusiasts to explore all their favourite Piaggio brands and share their biking experience in one place. Motoplex multi-brand stores have already been set up in Milan, New York City, Shanghai and Singapore where all the Piaggio group brands coexist in one continuous experience.
