Italian scooter maker Vespa will be launching variants of the Vespa VX and Vespa S in the Indian market. The new variants Vespa VXL and SXL is based on the VX model and will comes with new color options Azure Blue Maze Grey, digital odometer and 5 spoke alloy wheels.

The prices are expected in the range of Rs. 88,000 for the Vespa VXL and Rs. 85,000 for the SXL (on-road)

The national launch will happen in Mumbai on the 1st of September in the presence of legendary football player Alessandro Del Piero who has recently announced as the world-wide Brand Ambassador for Vespa.

The Vespa VXL and Vespa SXL will be powered by the same 125cc single cylinder 3Valves engine with variable spark timing management. Both the models are equipped with disc brake at front, tubeless tyres, lots of chrome, unique singe-piece monocoque steel body and some bright color options.

Vespa mainly caters to the niche scoter segment plans to introduce more models with higher capacity in the coming months. The company is also planning to introduce the Aprilia brand of scooters in the mass scooter segment to take on the likes of Suzuki, Honda, Hero and TVS.

Vespa currently retails four models- Standard, VX, S and Elegante and priced upwards
