Mercedes-Benz launches E 63 AMG, starts at Rs. 1.29 crores

Mercedes-Benz India continuing its product offensive in the Indian market launched the new E 63 AMG at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC). The car was launched by Mr. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director Mercedes-Benz India at an event organized by Mercedes-Benz at the BIC circuit.

The Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG which combines the practicality of a luxury sedan with attributes of a sports car will set a new bench mark according to the CEO. The E 63 AMG follows the Indian market soon after the launch of the face lifted E-Class which made its debut in the Indian market on the 26th of June.

The E 63 AMG is powered with a AMG 5.5-litre V8 BITURBO engine with 5461cc. The eight-cylinder power plant develops an enormous power of 410 kW (557 hp) @5500 rpm and a torque of 720 Nm @ 1750-5250. The zooms past from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h which is electronically limited.

The engine is mated to a AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with four driving modes: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport), “S+” (Sport plus) and “M” (Manual) which enhance the car’s agility and driving dynamics

The E- 63 AMG continues to offer the dynamism and performance of a true AMG and also sets new standards in terms of design with new AMG design philosophy which displays:

The E 63 gets the AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre package which includes the A-wing of the AMG front apron, inlays in the AMG side skirts, and the carbon-finish top section of the AMG rear apron. The new LED headlamps, large central star and new 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a 10-spoke design, fitted with 255/R 40 R 18 tyres on the front and 285/35 R 18 on the rear further adds to the sporty look.

The car is loaded with safety which includes ATTENTION ASSIST, Intelligent Lighting with cornering function, COMAND Online, 8 airbags, Adaptive High Beam and a tyre pressure loss warning system.

Interiors are spurted up with Nappa leather upholstery.  The black interior with grey contrasting topstitching on the AMG sports seats, the door centre panels, the door armrests and the centre console with new AMG-specific analogue clock is an eye catcher.

The E 63 AMG is priced at Rs. 12,900,000 ex-Showroom Delhi.
