Mercedes-Benz India reinforces its commitment to rural development

As a part of its CSR activity, Mercedes-Benz India today announced three unique initiatives in the neighbouring districts of Pune. Under the initiative, the company will set up an E-lab facility at ITI Ghodegaon, a watershed conservation structure at Thakarwadi-Landewadi and the Draw Down Cultivation project in Ambegaon taluka. Through this initiative, the automotive giant aims to make a positive difference in the lives of more than 2000 villagers.

Key Highlights:

·         Landewadi Jal Yukta Shivar Project to benefit Thakarwadi and six villages from downstream

·         Mercedes-Benz India was awarded globally in the Daimler network for the Jal Shivar project under the environmental initiatives under CSR.

·         E-lab facility in ITI Ghodegaon to facilitate 500 students every year for their digital learning and soft skill development

·         Draw Down Cultivation project to provide alternative livelihood options to the tribal communities, from Ambegaon taluka, district Pune
