Maruti Suzuki is working on a facelift on the Alto K10 and launch is expected to happen during the festive season. The Alto K10 launched three years back helped the Alto brand cross the 20,000 sales mark per month. Since its launch the car has not received any changes or upgrades and as the alto K10 completes its third anniversary in August, Maurti Suzuki may announce a refresh model. The company will most likely launch the car just close to festive season to help boost sales.

The facelift could be a mild one with cosmetic changes on the outside, refreshed interiors (most probably the beige interiors from the Alto K10 could be carried over) and a few new features like audio system with USB and four speakers, door side mouldings and a rear spoiler. Maruti may also include the option of driver airbag on the VXi variant.

The Alto K10 is currently powered by a 1.0 K-Series engine which develops 68 Ps and 90 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual and is fun to drive thanks to its high power to weight ratio.

Currently the Alto K10 is available in two variants only LXi and VXi.
