Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new TUV 300 SUV in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 6.9 lakhs.
The true Blue SUV is powered by a new mHawk80 Diesel Engine with 2-Stage Turbocharger available in BS4 only. The 1493 cc develops 84 bhp and max torque of 230 Nm @ 1500-2250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission and 5 Speed AMT. The AMT models have a slightly lower power output of 81 bhp @3750 rpm.
The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency is at 18.49 km/l. An Eco mode along with Micro Hybrid technology (start-stop system) is on offer on the top variant only. 15inch tyres are standard across the range with Tubeless Radials, 215/75. Alloys are reserved for the top variant only.
The Suspension set-up includes a Double Wishbone Front Suspension and Rigid Axle Multi-Link Rear Suspension. In terms of dimensions the TUV measures 3995 mm in length, overall width of 1835mm and overall height of 1839mm. The wheelbase of 2680 mm hints of generous legroom. Unlike its competitors the TUV comes with 5+2 flexible seating with jump seats in the third row similar to the Quanto.
Mahindra TUV 300 will be available in 7 variants – T4, T4+, T6, T6+, T6+ AMT, T8 & T8 AMT.
According to Mahinda the TUV 300 is designed to meet future safety crash norms, making it one of the safest SUV under sub four metre category. Safety features include Airbags, ABS With EBD, Auto Door Lock While Driving, Anti-Theft Warning and Digital Immobiliser. Airbags and ABS are optional on T4 & T6 variants.
The TUV 300 is equipped with a long list of features such as Remote Lock & Keyless Entry, Driver Seat Height Adjustment, Mobile Charging Points, Static Bending Headlamps, Infotainment System With Display Screen, 2 DIN Music System, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, Mahindra BLUE SENSE® Mobile App, Intellipark and Voice Messaging System (VMS) to name a few.
The SUV will be available in a choice of six colors – Verve Blue, Glacier White, Dyname Red, Majestic Silver, Bold Black, Molten Orange and a special made-to-order combat green shade.
The TUV will be offered with a choice of accessories to personalise the vehicle to suit ones need and taste.
