Hyundai India launched the new gen Verna sedan in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 799,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new gen Hyundai Verna 2017 is built on the new K2 platform which also underpins the Elantra sedan and promises to offer a lot more space and luxury as compared to the outgoing model.
The new gen Verna is launched in two engine options only and the company has not offered the 1.4 petrol and diesel as previously available. Both the 1.6 Petrol and diesel will be available with a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.

According to Mr. Rakesh Shrivastava Director Sales & Marketing Hyundai Motor India, the price protection is for the first 20,000 customers only, after which the prices could be increased due to the higher cess which has been announced on mid and luxury cars.
The new comes with many segment first features likes ventilated front seats, Smart Trunk functionality, projector fog lamps and Eco Coating. The Verna comes with a sunroof for the first time, and will be the second car to get this option after the Honda City.
Hyundai Verna is available in seven colour options, four are new shades.
