Hyundai New Gen Verna interiors spied launch on 22nd August

Hyundai had managed to keep the new Gen Verna under wraps especially the interiors where no details have been shared.  However, the new Verna interiors are captured at one of the dealer yards.

From the image, it’s clear the new Verna will continue to be offered with a dual-tone (black and beige) dashboard like the current generation model. The dashboard silver finished AC vents and Centre console unlike other cars which get chrome surrounds and Piano Black finish embellishments.

The 3 spoke Steering wheel now gets more buttons such as phone, audio, MID, controls and most likely cruise controls.

The car continues to come with a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre.

The Verna gets a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with rotary knobs for the automatic climate control.

The new generation car is expected to feature automatic headlamps; segment first ventilated front seats, sunroof, 6 airbags and rear camera and parking sensors.

The car is based on Hyundai’s K2 platform, which also underpins the Elantra sedan and has a more robust structure. The sedan measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width and 1,475 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm (30 mm longer than the outgoing model). Boot capacity has also increased by 20 litres to 480 litres.

The new gen Verna will be powered by a 1.6-litre and a 1.6-litre diesel. Both engines are likely to be offered with choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The new gen Hyundai Verna will be launched on August 22, 2017.
