Hyundai KONA SUV teased, new compact crossover to be launched soon

Hyundai will be adding another SUV to their expanding line-up and have dropped a teaser of the new KONA compact crossover. The all-New Hyundai KONA features a progressive appearance that inherits Hyundai’s new design identity.

An important milestone in Hyundai Motor’s journey to becoming the leading Asian automotive brand in Europe by 2021 the company has revealed a few details of KONA ahead of its world premiere in the coming months.

The KONA will compete with the likes of Nissan Juke, Toyota C-HR, Mazda CX-3 and Honda HR-V to name a few.

The SUV gets new twin headlamps with the LED Daytime Running Lights positioned on top of the LED headlights.

The SUV will offers customers a true SUV experience with elevated seating position for better visibility for drivers and increased driving comfort. The compact SUV will also feature optional four-wheel drive.

Hyundai claims the KONA will offer best-in-class interior space, with a focus on driving dynamics and looks to set new performance standards for the segment.

For the Indian and ASEAN markets, the KONA could be positioned just above Creta and below Tucson and will be launched in 2018-19.

Hyundai is also working on a compact SUV to rival the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and upcoming Tata Nexon.
