Hyundai Creta rival Ssangyong Tivoli to debut at Delhi Auto Expo

Mahindra will display the Ssangyong Tivoli at the Delhi Auto Expo for the first time.

The Tivoli will be the Korean brands second offering in India and the SUV was earlier spied testing on Indian roads.

The Ssangyong  Tivoli is the K first new global compact SUV which was developed under the Mahindra ownership and when launched will take on the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano and the upcoming BR–V SUV from Honda.

Powering the Ssangyong Tivoli in India could be Mahindra’s brand new 1.6 litre Petrol engine from the recently launched mFalcon range of Petrol engines and a 1.6 litre diesel motors mated to either six speeds manual and automatic gearbox options coupled to front wheel drive layout only.

Internationally the Tivoli is powered by a 1.6 litre 128 Ps petrol and 115 turbocharged diesel engines. The Tivoli measures 4,195 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width, 1,590 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.

Feature wise the international Tivoli comes equipped with 18″ diamond cut alloy wheels, Automatic Projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 7″ touch screen RDS radio with Ipod & Bluetooth connectivity, Tom Tom navigation & reversing camera, flat bottomed steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, dual zone climate control, Cruise control etc. The SUV gets Black and red interior scheme, Grey Leather and Beige Leather options.

When launched Mahindra is likely to price the Tivoli in the price range of Rs. 8 to 12 lakhs. With the Ssangyong Tivoli Mahindra is looking target customers who want a five seater SUV with a premium badge.
