Honda 2 Wheelers India introduced the Africa Twin dual purpose bike in the Indian market. The company has also introduced a number of genuine accessories such as Accessory socket, Body cover, DCT pedal shift, Front LED fog lamp, Front side pipe, High seat comp, High wind screen, Lower deflector, Main stand, Rear carrier, Sub harness, Top box, U-lock and Upper deflector.
The dual purpose motorcycle is powered by 999.11 cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine mated to a unique Dual Clutch Transmission technology by Honda with Manual Shift Selector. The engine develops maximum power of 88 PS at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 91.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
Bikes key features include Rally Style Rider Console, LED Headlamps, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and ABS, The “G” Switch and ‘N’ (Neutral), ‘D’ (Drive) or ‘S’ (Sport) riding modes.
Honda Africa Twin competes with the likes of Triumph Tiger 800 800 XCA, Ducati Multistrada 950, Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and Kawasaki Versys 1000.
The Honda Africa Twin is priced at Rs. 13,06,927, ex-showroom Delhi making it the most expensive CKD model in the Indian market.
