Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest single two-wheeler manufacturer, today reported yet another month of strong sales by dispatching 685047 units of Motorcycles and Scooters in August 2018. The company had sold 678,797 units of two-wheelers in the corresponding month last year.
In August, Hero MotoCorp commenced dispatch of its new premium motorcycle, the Xtreme 200R, to dealerships across the country. The Xtreme 200R is attractively priced at Rs. 89,900/- (ex-showroom Delhi).
With the peak festive season coming in the months of October and November this year, the Company expects to maintain the trajectory with healthy double-digit growth in the coming months.
Reiterating its commitment towards the rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected Kerala, Hero MotoCorp has initiated special benefits for its customers in the state by waiving off fees for check-up and repair for Hero two-wheelers offering a discount of 30% on Hero genuine spare parts. The company has also contributed Rs. 1 Crore to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund and has also provided relief material consisting of food items, tents, medicines, water filters, blankets, hygiene kits, kitchen sets etc. to the relief camps in the state.
