Fiat launches its new volume spinner, Linea Classic

Fiat India has launched their volume spinner, the Linea Classic at Fiat Caffe in the capital city. The Linea Classic will give the Fiat brand the much need sales thrust. Positioned in the entry level sedan segment, the Linea Classic is by far the biggest car in its class.

Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director-FIAT Chrysler Operations was proud to share, the Classic the will offer the customers the spaciousness & comfort of a sedan at the price range of a hatchback.

The Classic is based on the regular Linea with all the high end features deleted. The car is offered in petrol and diesel engine options and two variants: Classic & Classic+.

Fiat Linea Classic 2

The Classic is powered by the regular 1.4L petrol engine which develops max power of 90Ps @ 6000 rpm and torque of 115 @ 4500 rpm. The Multijet diesel on offer develops 76PS @ 4000 rpm and max torque of 197 @ 1750 rpm. This engine employs a fixed geometry turbo as opposed to a variable geometry turbo equipped on the regular Linea. The petrol engine delivers a fuel efficiency of 14.9kmpl and the diesel delivers 19.5kmpl.

In terms of features the Linea Classic comes with Programmable speed limit buzzer, Dual Parabola Headlamps, Follow me headlamps, Fire Prevention System, ABS, All four power windows with delay & auto down function, real time mileage indicator etc.

  • 14” wheels with wheel covers
  • Integrated MP3/CD player (no Blue & me)
  • Black interiors
  • Vinyl upholstery on the base variant
  • Manual HVAC
  • No rear ac vents
  • No centre arm rest for the driver

The Linea Classic will be available in Oceanic Blue, Tuscan Wine, Minimal grey, Hip Hop Black and Pearl White. The car will be available in three variants and prices are as follows.

Ex-showroom Delhi:

1.4L Petrol Classic: Rs. 5,99,000

1.3L Multijet Classic: Rs. 6,95,976

1.3L Multijet Classic+: Rs. 7,50,976

The Linea Classic will compete with the likes of Ford Classic, Toyota Etios, Chevrolet Sail in the entry sedan segment and Honda Amaze & Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in the compact sedan segment.
