FIAT Avventura makes world debut in India, prices start at Rs. 5.99 lakhs

FIAT India has launched the fourth model for the Indian market the all new Avventura. The Italian car maker is calling the Avventura as India’s first Contemporary Urban Vehicle (CUV) and not a cross unlike competitors.

The Avventura concept was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi auto expo and now makes it world debut in the Indian market. This model is mainly developed for the Asian markets and may be exported to a few more countries. The Avventura based on the Punto platform, will be manufactured at Ranjangaon and is designed with iconic Italian styling packed with modern & exclusive features like Skid guards, body cladding, high terrain gauges, functional roof rails; 60:40 split seats, high ground clearance of 205 mm to give a smooth ride, rear spare tyre with split tail gate. The Avventura gets 16”alloy wheels and 205/55 R16 tyres as standard.

The overall interiors are similar to the Punto Evo but come with dual-tone, soft-touch dashboard and fabric insert on the door trims.

Engine options include 1.4 FIRE petrol and 1.3 Multijet diesel engines both mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.

Safety features include Dual front airbags with passenger side deactivation system, ABS with EBD, Auto door lock, Central locking and immobilizer, Height-adjustable seatbelts and driver’s seat.
