Titan has entered into an all-new segment with the launch of trendy helmets in the Indian market. After watches, eyewear, jewellery and lifestyle products Titan announced its foray into the organised helmet market under its Fastrack brand.
The Helmets are priced between Rs 1,495 and Rs 3,495, ISI approved and have been designed keeping in mind the youth of today. Fastrack has tied up with an Italian helmet making company called AGV, one of the largest helmet manufactures in the world. The range will include 24 different variants for guys and girls in a plethora of colours and vibrant graphics making them a style-essential.
India is world’s second largest two wheeler market and the helmet market is currently dominated by unorganised players and has very few organized players. There is a large potential in the organized market which is currently estimated to be around Rs. 400 crores.
With the help of in-house design, Fastrack’s youth appeal, marketing expertise and wide retail footprint Titan plans to grab a larger pie of the organized helmet sector. To start with the company will sell helmets through 146 Fastrack stores pan India and will scale to 200 stores by the end of the fiscal.
