Audi drives into Ranchi – opens its first-ever showroom in Jharkhand

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today inaugurated Audi Ranchi, its first showroom in Jharkhand. The world-class Audi Ranchi showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India and Mr. Sandip Bajaj, Managing Director, Audi Ranchi and Audi Kolkata (Mohan Motors (P) Ltd.). The entire Audi India model range will be showcased in this new showroom.

“Audi is the undisputed No.1 luxury car brand in India. We look forward to command a leadership position in the state of Jharkhand as well and Audi Ranchi will accelerate our expansion into eastern part of India. We see a huge potential for growth in the region and will open more dealerships within this year with Guwahati next on cards. Customers in the eastern part of India are exhibiting an increased appetite for luxury cars and are aware of the product portfolio and quality our brand offers. Located on Purulia road, Audi Ranchi is spread over a total area of 12,000 square feet. Audi Ranchi has a honeycomb aluminum facade on the exterior with a display area that can accommodate eight Audi cars. The showroom will display the entire model range of Audi cars available in India. Furthermore, Audi Ranchi will also house an Audi Shop where customers can purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise. Audi Ranchi is equipped with a hand over area where customers will be given a memorable experience.

“Like Ranchi, Audi is placing an increasing number of showrooms at strategically important locations in tier II cities. This year, Audi also intends to open dealerships in other key locations including Madurai and Rajkot in order to penetrate deeper into the higher demand luxury car markets in India,” added Mr. King.

Audi Ranchi also houses the exclusive Audi service facility in the same premises. The workshop is spread over an area of about 7,500 square feet and has a capacity to service 06 cars per day in a single shift on a total of 3 bays. The body and paint shop is also integrated in this workshop which will provide customers a complete solution for their cars. The technicians at the facility are trained to ensure world-class services to the customers.

Audi India closed the year on a record high. Heavy demand which far outstripped supply, Audi achieved new sales record by notching up an impressive sale of 10851 units in 2014. This marks the seventh successive year of growth for the company which last year became the first luxury car manufacturer to achieve sales of 10,000 units in a calendar year as well as financial year in India.
